 BIO

Charm of Finches are a teen sister “dream folk” duo from Melbourne. Aged 17 and 14, their dreamy harmonies and compelling song writing are transporting.
They have been singing their dreamy harmonies since 11 and 8 years old, where they busked outside the veggie shop where their dad worked singing old timey A Capella.
They released their debut album, "Staring at the Starry Ceiling" in 2016, produced by Nick Huggins of Little Lake Records. Praised by Paul Gough of Radio National's Inside Sleeve as "stunning new folk", these sisters play music to watch the stars by.

REVIEWS

"For a duo so young to conjure a full album of music so candid and original as this is astonishing...Charm of Finches sound like they're mining something far more ancient and universal" Rhythms Magazine NOV/DEC 2016

"stunning new folk...a delightful and dreamy listen" Paul Gough, The Inside Sleeve, Radio National

"Their harmonies rose and fell seamlessly with an impeccable blend...pure and natural and heart warming" speakertv.com

"Sister duo Charm of Finches make gorgoeus chamber pop...Their harmonies are immaculate and stirring as they move through an honest, and well, charming lyric." tonedeaf.com

"There's also the simple beauty of family voices intertwining, with Charm Of Finches’ Mabel & Ivy – and even their names seem perfectly anachronistic for the folk purity of their music ... slightly mystical alternate reality, maybe owing something to Joanna Newsom and that ilk. Despite - or perhaps because of - their youth, the music they make is affecting and emotional. " themusic.com
